Based on the current version of the App, Chat Diary does not require you to create an account in order to use its core features. The App is also designed without mandatory cloud sync for diary content.
That means your journal data is not intended to be stored in an online account controlled by us. If you delete the App or erase your device, your local data may be permanently lost unless you have exported or backed it up yourself through Apple device-level tools.
Chat Diary is designed to use a local on-device language model to generate diary summaries. Your entries are intended to be processed locally on your device rather than transmitted to a remote AI service for summary generation.
We do not intentionally use your diary content to train remote models, build advertising profiles, or provide data to third-party analytics platforms.

Your entries, summaries, and related settings are intended to be stored locally on your device. Local storage may include app sandbox storage, local databases, caches, and device-backed storage mechanisms provided by iOS.
While we aim to design the App with privacy in mind, no device or software environment can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, including use of device passcodes, Face ID, Touch ID, and other system-level protections.
You control your content inside the App. Depending on the features available in your version of Chat Diary, you may be able to:
Once you export or share content outside the App, that content is subject to the privacy practices of the destination app, service, or storage location you choose.
Chat Diary is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction to provide valid consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through remote account systems as part of the current core product design.

Because the App is designed to process data locally on the device, the handling of your journal content is primarily determined by your own device environment and any export or sharing action you choose to take.
